New Zealand, travel

So the countdown is on, I bought my ticket from Air New Zealand and it was only fourteen hundred dollars return from New York. I know this is a very expensive ticket to buy but my best friend is turning thirty in a month and I really want to be there for her.

It will be a big surprise, although her husband knows and has told her they will be spending the weekend in Tauranga which is in the North Island at the Bay of Plenty. He wants to tell her that they will be flying there as she hates to take the bus and there is really no train option in New Zealand. Well that is not true apparently there is a train option but it is really bad and no one takes it.

But the truth is that they are getting there after I arrive and I am supposed to jump from out of nowhere and surprise her and then we are really going on a trip to Abel Tasman.  Her husband told me this is the one place in New Zealand that she really wanted to go to, well that and Kaikoura because she is a big nature fan and you can go whale watching there. Maybe we will go the weekend after her birthday who knows.

I really hope the New Zealand airport is small because it will be hard to get through customs and then find them in departures, her husband told me to find the booth where you pay the airport fee so I really hope that is somewhere easy to find.
